Lake Arrowhead is nestled a mile high in the San Bernardino National Forest among stately cedars, ponderosas, coulter pines, sugar pines and oak trees, surrounded by 14 miles of shoreline. One of the deepest man-made lakes in the US, the water shines a deep sapphire blue which is how is became known as the “Jewel of Southern California”. Originally called Little Bear Valley, the name “Lake Arrowhead” comes from the natural arrowhead shaped rock outcropping visible on the south side of the mountain.
The Lake Arrowhead Village is an entertainment experience at the center of town, the mountain communities’ “downtown” area. Shopping, Restaurants, Lake Activities and Events thrive at this Tudor-style shopping center. This is home to lake tours on the 60-seat paddle-wheeler Arrowhead Queen and where you’ll find lakefront restaurants like Belgian Waffle, Papagayos, The Lakefront Taproom, The Grapevine and Jetties.
