Located 1 short mile from Lake Arrowhead.
Blue Jay is located down Daley Canyon, off Highway 18. It was settled in the 1860’s by the sawmills and continues to the present day to be a fusion of authentic mountain culture and small-town charm. Located near Dogwood Campground, Blue Jay got its name from the beautiful and entertaining Stellar Jay inhabitants. This is where the Blue Jay Jazz Festival was born and where Olympians like Michelle Kwan trained in the high-altitude winters at the Blue Jay Ice Castle. Home to the shortest parade in the Guinness Book of World Records, the Blue Jay Christmas Parade.
A great place for birdwatching but also for the mountain boutiques and nature-culture: Country Furniture, Health Habitat, Tommy’s Pet Studio, Jensen’s Finest Foods Florals and Bakery. So many great restaurant choices, spend the day here home cooked meals at Bill’s Villager, farm to table vegetarian and meat lover choices at Spade & Spatula-Ca Gastropub, fresh Mexican at Santiago’s, delicious food, drinks and camaraderie at Dogwood Tavern. The local Rite Aid in Blue Jay is the place to find general merchandise and meet Rx needs.
Blue Jay is home to two Welcome Centers, make yourself at home! Prime Properties at Daley Canyon Road and Wheeler Steffen Sotheby’s.
