Initially constructed in 1852 as a logging road, the mountain roadway has lured visitors with a promise of an escape, to skirt above the city, and sometimes even the clouds. From San Bernardino up Hwy-18 to Crestline, Lake Arrowhead, Running Springs and on to Big Bear you will experience spectacular vistas and stunning panoramic views. There are plenty of stops along the way to enjoy the beauty of spring, including flowers, trees blossoming, native birds, lovely lakes and forest scenery.
