Red Cross Shelter Simulation Training

Mark your calendars and join the Red Cross for Shelter Simulation Training Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 8am to 3pm! The training provides practical experiences on how to conduct the various tasks required to maintain a shelter. Three goals have been outlined for the simulation in order to provide the participants with a successful and productive learning experience:

• Promote teamwork through interactive group activities that correspond to operating a shelter.
• Reinforce key activities and tasks that are involved in resourcing, opening, operating and closing a shelter.
• Provide a participants with an opportunity to partice their skills and discuss ways to handle issues that arise in shelters.
