North Shore campground is located above Lake Arrowhead right next MacKay Park that features a spectacular view of the lake, picnic areas, kid’s playground, dog park, and walking paths. Nestled in forest beauty and has 28 camping sites, 6 are first come/first serve sites and 22 are reservable sites. Amenities include 1 campfire ring, picnic table, flush toilets, and firewood is available for sale. The campground is about 4 miles from Lake Arrowhead Village for shopping, dining and more. Reservations can be made as early as 6 months or as late as 24 hours in advance by calling (909) 336-6717 or through recreation.gov. A United States Forest Service Adventure Pass ($5 per day or $30 for the year) is required for parking.
Directions: Take Hwy-18 to Lake Arrowhead, turn onto Hwy-173, go approximately 2 miles to the stop at the entrance to Lake Arrowhead Village (restaurants, shopping, and outlet stores). Turn right, 2 more miles around the lake, pass the dam and marinas, and turn right at the Mountains Community Hospital sign. Follow Hospital Road a short distance to the campground.
