The original Santa’s Village opened in 1955, and when the park went bankrupt in the 1970’s it closed for years until new owners restored and expanded the park in 2016. This magical place is nestled on 230-acres of natural forest beauty. It has attractions including, kiddie rides, forest ziplining, mountain biking trails, archery, fly fishing, roller skating, a rock-climbing wall, restaurants, shopping, and walk-around characters. Guided hikes are also available along the property’s Henck Meadowlands Conservation Trail. In winter Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the elves add to this winter wonderland, along with ice skating, Christmas activities, and rides on the Northwoods Express mini train, which was part of the original amusement park.
